I’m ordering my laptop! I’m getting a MacBook, after much debate, comparison, and contemplation. It will be nice to have the mobility, especially for taking comps this summer. That way I can go work and use up someone else’s air conditioning!
I’ve also managed to figure out ways to shave off a few bucks here and there, so the whole shebang (computer, 3 years of AppleCare, and iWork ’08) will come in at a little under $1100. Very niiiiiiiiice. I think I’ve done everything I need to in order to allow myself to make a purchase of this size, and I feel good about it. I’ve only been wanting one since they came out! Oh, and the education discount will be a big help, too.

Yay for Macs! I love my 5-year old PowerBook so much…even though Macs are more expensive than PCs, they’re going to last you so much longer. Plus, they just look so much better.
And booo on last night!

It says a lot that your PowerBook is 5 years old! I hope to keep my MacBook at least that long.
And seriously, boo is right! I was willing to concede Ohio, and even Rhode Island, but Texas really pissed me off. At some point during the day she was accusing some Obama campaign people of misconduct, but once she realized she was winning, she stopped complaining. She’s so completely classless.

Yeah, and I did some not-so-smart things to it, so its service life might be stunted because of it. But, still, 5 years? That’s so much longer than you can keep a PC laptop!

I’m so jealous! I love Macs. I need to pony up for one someday.
I was disappointed yesterday, too. And today Hillary was on GMA saying she now thinks FL and MI should count. Um, no. She wasn’t saying that before. Now she’s only saying it so she can get ahead. I don’t think she’ll be a bad president if she should get the nod, but I’m really disappointed in the attacking that she’s been doing the past few weeks. I hate attack politics anyways, but especially when they’re in the same party. It’s making them and the party look bad. I’m glad that Obama’s mostly taken the higher road.

Yeah, Obama’s made a few mistakes, but they don’t seem so consistent and pervasive within his campaign (as has been the case in Clinton’s campaign).
Wait until you’re in grad school and buy one on an education discount! 🙂
