I have another job interview tomorrow at 2:00. It’s for a legal secretary position I applied for a week or two ago with a small firm here in town. It may come down to who pays better/has better benefits. Of course if this gig pays, say, $15-25 an hour, I’m all over it like stink on a monkey. If the difference ends up being just a couple $ an hour but one has far better benefits, I’d take the slightly lesser paying job with a good benefits package.

I am hiring interns for Me Inc. However, the pay is not great and there is sexual harassment :o(.
Apply with resume.
I think legal secretary positions usually pay pretty well!
See, that’s what I thought too! Scott says they don’t pay well, but what he defines as paying well may not be the same as how I define it. 🙂
Job satisfaction is good. Although, weekend satisfaction because your job pays extremely nicely, is even better.
Heh, heh. You got THAT right!
Legal secretary jobs pay great for a person in your position, and they’re good experience to have if you ever need a job. That said, however, you might be working your butt off–they’re notorious for being the ones that do “all the work” in law offices.
I’ve been considering applying for similar jobs myself…I figure my State Bar experience in Georgia will at least get me an interview. I can’t work for the Athletic Department again next year–it’ll kill me. (Or I’ll kill them.)
BTW, sorry I didn’t get back to you about your car’s AC. My brother was gone to Tennessee from early Friday AM until Sunday (he’s on the crew team). I see now that you went ahead and got it fixed…hope it didn’t cost too much. (I haven’t read my LJ friends all week long.)
-D.
No prob..It was less than $100, and I consider it money well spent! 🙂
