I imagine if there is good news to be had it will arrive this week. This is not doing much for my sanity or perspective. Today I got an email from the department assistant with information on reimbursement for travel expenses. In my state of paranoia, I can’t help but think that this is some kind of sign that I did not get the job.
Am I crazy, or could this be right? Having never received a proper offer, I don’t know if the successful candidate gets treated differently for this sort of thing.
Talk me off the ledge, or pour me a drink, please…
I don’t think this is a sign of anything, except that maybe that person is behind on getting reimbursement done. I think I got my money back pretty quickly when I went on my (only) campus visit.
I’m guessing it would be Friday if/when you hear anything, if it’s going to be this week. People tend to wrap up stuff like this on Fridays, in my limited experience (and hearing anecdotal evidence). Good luck!
That is helpful. I don’t know how much more hopeful I feel, but there’s nothing to be done about that!
I have some stories about campus visit reimbursement…hoo, boy!
