I suppose I should elaborate…we’re getting married in NOLA, so I’m not doing anything in Alabama, except dress shopping. If you want a good hair person, I recommend very highly my hair dude, Wayne Gates at A Cut Above on 15th Street (345-3415). Yes, the place looks no frills, but you will get great results for about half what you’d pay at some places around town. He’s done my hair for nearly 4 years now and I’ve only “strayed” once, and that was to visit a salon in Columbia, MO to let my FMIL’s stylist chop my hair. Most expensive haircut of my life but pretty good. I’m still sticking w/ Wayne, though.
